Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Repaint Various Building and Corridors: Summary of Requirements: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to perform the work as described in the contract drawings and specifications for Project 658-23-001 Repaint Various Basement Corridors and Connecting Corridors at the Salem VA Medical Center, Salem, VA. Contractor shall prep/paint all existing interior painted basement building corridor surfaces and interior connecting corridor painted surfaces for Buildings 1,2,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,12,74, 75,76 and 77. The work will be performed on all interior basement corridors and the interior connecting corridors between buildings listed above. Contractor shall scrape existing loose paint and prepare surfaces for painting with 1 primer coat and 2 finish coats. Work shall require prepping/painting corridor walls and door jambs (both sides of door) in building corridors. For the connecting corridors interior walls, ceilings and windows shall be prepped and painted. Contractor shall assume all painted surfaces contain detectable levels of lead and shall perform work in accordance with OSHA standards for lead in construction. Contractor shall provide all painting labor/equipment/ladders to perform new paint application. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. If selected, the construction time allocated for completion of the work associated with Bid Item I (Base Bid), as described above, is 360 calendar days from notice to proceed (NTP) by the VA. NAICS CODE: 238320 Painting and Wall Covering Contractors SBA Size Standard: $19.0 Million The Period of Performance for this requirement is 360 calendar days from NTP. This solicitation is anticipated to be a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about May 02, 2023, with an anticipated submission due date of June 1, 2023. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Bids will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for bids. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
