TRS-3D Baseline D Radar Training Aid for the National Security Cutter

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to Hensoldt, Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), a functioning TRS-3D Baseline D Radar system for the National Security Cutter (NSC), hereafter referred to a TRS-3D Baseline D radar training aid, logistics package, system installation, and testing services. The Hensoldt TRS-3D family of radars is installed on the NSC class cutters to fulfill mission critical surveillance requirements. Due to training objectives’ tasks’ complexity, and the mission criticality of the system, the TRS-3D Baseline D radar training aid will be comprised of the identical and complete hardware and software installed on NSC 9 - 11 currently in production. This notice is not a request for proposals.  It is a notice of the Government's intentions to award a contract on a sole source basis.  The Government has determined that Hensoldt Sensors Gmbh is the only source able to successfully meet the requirements. Concerns interested should notify the Contracting Officer, Nichol Fitzpatrick, in writing, at nichol.a.fitzpatrick@uscg.mil, on or before May 17, 2022, no later than 12:00 pm EST. Any information received, will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement (based on responses to this notice) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
