Intent to Sole Source Boom Stripping, Priming and Painting

The Fleet Readiness Center Procurement Group Patuxent River, MD 20650 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a sole source purchase order to American Stripping Company, CAGE 0G7K4, 9205 Vassau CT Manassas Park, Virginia 20111-4830, United States, using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures under FAR 13.106-1(b).

Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment (FRCASE) has an urgent requirement for the blasting, priming and painting (CVCC/AACC) of the Aircraft Crash and Salvage Crane frames booms and turntables for Norfolk, VA site.  American Stripping Company has demonstrated that they can complete the necessary repairs in the urgent timeline that is required.  For this reason, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from American Stripping Company, CAGE 0G7K4, 9205 Vassau CT Manassas Park, Virginia 20111-4830, United States.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.   Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
