Description

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), DLA Maritime Norfolk, Contracting Division, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price, to procure:

GRAIN ABRASIVE

to be delivered to multiple location at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 327910, and the procurement will be sourced together. Award will be based on lowest-price, technically acceptable and delivery.

The contract line items are as follows:

CLIN 0001: BLASTONE 'TOUGHBLAST’ GX2 GARNET ABRASIVE IN 4400LB BULK BAGS (GX2- BB-2)

A.  All material for this line item must be marked and identified clearly on

each individual container and LABEL IAW CFR29.1910.1200

B.  Date manufactured shall be marked and identified clearly on each

individual unit's label, regardless of its inclusion in batch numbers.

C.  Shelf-life expiration date shall be clearly marked on each individual

unit and must have 85% of shelf life remaining at time of receipt.

D.  The manufacturer. GMA, GARNET (USA) CROP, and product: GMA TOUGHBLAST, INDUSTRIAL ABRASIVE, 4400 LBS BAGS (**1 BAG = 4,400 LBS / 2TON**) is approved for use at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

E.   MSDS required to be shipped with material.

F.   Must not contain METHYLENE CHLORIDE

This procurement will be processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-22-Q-0215 and it is expected to be posted on or around 18 August 2022. Quotes will be due by 12:00 AM EST on 23 August 2022 and may be emailed to the attention of Ginger Beasley (ginger.beasely@dla.mil).
