Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501(a), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc., 200 Holiday Dr. Ste 500, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
U. S. Naval Hospital Okinawa (USNHO) Japan requires handheld blood analyzers that deliver lab-quality diagnostic in emergency situations. The platform must have a pre-configured virtual system image which includes the operating system, SQL database, and associated software to run on a virtual host infrastructure.
US Naval Hospital Okinawa and its outlying clinics requires an annual subscription for the Abbott Remote Automated Laboratory System (RALS) for the Glucometers and i-Stat modules for 26 glucometers and 11 i-STATs in accordance with the attached Statement of work for the following periods of performance:
Periods of Performance
Base: 9/30/2023 – 9/29/2024
OPT 1: 9/30/2024 – 9/29/2025
OPT 2: 9/30/2025 – 9/29/2026
OPT 3: 9/30/2026 – 9/29/2027
OPT 4: 9/30/2027 – 9/29/2028
There are not set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
