Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has arequirement for the Multi-Family Lease and Repair (MLR) shall be made available to individuals and households who are displaced from their pre-disaster residences or whose pre- disaster primary residences are rendered uninhabitable as a result of the damaged caused by Hurricane Helene, and who are unable to meet the expenses associated with procuring housing by other means. FEMA will determine the applicant eligibility for MLR. The property is to have sustained significant damage caused by Hurricane Helene, where the urgent need for housing requires the provision of direct housing assistance to eligible survivors under Section 408 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (“Stafford Act”).
