Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order under FAR Part 13.5 procedures to Illumina Inc. to estabhish a laboratory maintenance agreement for on-site preventative and remedial maintenance of Illumina MiSeq, MiSeqDX and NextSeq 550 next-generation sequencing systems and components attached to these instruments, as well as any Illumina equipment that may be replaced/exchanged and added during the lifetime of this contract. NCIRD/ID owns a significant number of Illumina next-generation sequencing instruments, including MiSeq, MiSeqDX and NextSeq 550 instruments. These instruments are highly complex, and maintenance/repair requires a high degree of technical proficiency and training. In order to ensure readiness to respond to the event of an emergency response it is crucial. Illumina is the manufactuerer of NCIRD MiSeq and NextSteq equipment, only Illumina factory trained personnel with expertise in preventative and remedial maintenance for all Illumina instruments can provide the required services for the equipment.
This service contract shall include an annual on-site preventative maintenance (PM) and on-site repair services as requested by CDC within 24-48 hours of service request for all equipment listed under the service contract.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 3406. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within 15 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at cbp0@cdc.gov by COB 9 February 2024.
