Description
Solicit industrial support for drydock repairs for Freedom Star. Issuance of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated for service and material to perform this work in accordance with specifications in the Statement of Work (SOW)- Attachment I. Quoters are to submit pricing for all materials, dry dock, services, equipment and labor required to complete work on the vendor price sheet, Attachment II. Service shall take place at contractor's shipyard.
Bid Area: The Training Ship Freedom Star has a “Special Conditions” endorsement on its insurance policy with their underwriters and has a “Navigation Limit” of up to 10 miles off shore and is only covered from Philadelphia, PA to Savannah, GA. Therefore, offers can only be accepted from Contractor’s within these limits.
SHIP CHECK: A site visit will be held on Tuesday, 10 December, 2024 at 10:00AM EST at the Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship, 45353 St. George's Ave., Piney Point, Maryland. Failure of a prospective quoter to submit any questions or to attend the site visit will be construed to mean that the quoter fully understands all requirements of the solicitation. Prospective quoters are advised that the site visit will be held solely to allow quoters an opportunity to gain the best possible understanding of the working environment and specific work items to be addressed under contract to allow for an accurate and complete price quote. All prospective quoters are advised that after the site visit, unless this solicitation is amended in writing, it will remain unchanged and, that if an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of any such amendment shall be applicable. This will be the only site visit conduted for this requirement( see combined synopsis/ solicitation for details.)
