Description

            The Austin-Tonopah Ranger District, Peavine Campground located on the South end of the Toiyabe Range near Round Mountain / Hadley, NV and has approximately 90 cottonwood trees have dropped limbs or have above ground decadent branches that are hazardous to the public. 

The above ground decadent or damaged branches are in need of mechanical removal.  The limbs are between 15 to 40 feet in height and range in diameter size from 2” up to 20”.   Limbs will need to be cut and anything up to 12” needs to be chipped.  Larger wood can be left for future campers and fire pits.  Additionally, less than 10 trees may need to be felled due to overall poor health and condition or may contribute to future hazard.
