Pre-Solicitation Synopsis

Clearwater Station Water Tank Replacement, Bass Lake Ranger District, Sierra National Forest

Description of Work

Furnish all labor, equipment and material to accomplish the Work under this contract.  Work includes but is not limited to the following major items:

  • Demolish and dispose of two water tanks and base (approximately 5,000 gallons each).
  • Furishing and installing new water tank 31,000 gallons.
  • Connecting water tank back to the distribution lines for the station.
  • Connecting electrical controls for the tank.
  • Disinfecting the entire water system.
  • Installing approximately 350 LF of 4” waterline for the new hydrant.
  • Installing a new tanker fir hydrant, control valve, and box.

Project Location

The project is located on the Bass Lake Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest.  From Fresno, proceed North approximately 20 miles on State Highway 41 to County Road 200. Proceed East on road 200 approximately 21 miles to the town of  North Fork. From North Fork continue East on County Road 225 approximately 5 miles to forest road 4S81 (Minarets Highway). Proceed North East on 4S81 approximately 10 miles to the Clearwater Fire Station, the project site.

Contract Time

The anticipated project performance period for this project is 45 days, including delays for weather, locating, transporting supplies and materials, and final project inspection and site cleanup.

Anticipated schedule for solicitation, award, and completion of projects is as follows:

RFQ Close: May 22, 2023

Project Start: No later than June 1, 2023

$100,000 to $250,000

This requirement is being solicited as a Total Small Business set-aside, under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 237110 Water System Storage Tank and Tower Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $45M. The Forest Service intends to award one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract resulting from this solicitation.

All interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at SAM.gov | Entity Registrations before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for award and removed from consideration.

Interested vendors must obtain complete solicitation package on SAM.gov; copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov and vendors will be solely responsible for viewing the solicitation posting in SAM.gov for amendments to the RFQ.

This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
