AIU/Comm Tray Procurement

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modification to Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract N6833523D0001 to Pole Zero 5558 Union Centre Drive, West Chester Ohio 45069-4821 for the procurement of Antenna Interface Units (AIU), and Communication Trays (Comm Trays) to support P-8A Lot 13 aircraft. The modification will increase the ceiling of the base IDIQ by seventy-five units each for a grand total of an additional one hundred and fifty (150) units. The ordering period runs through 16 October 2025 and has an intended award date of 14 June 2024. The estimated delivery period begins 15 March 2025 and is scheduled to end on 15 May 2027.  

The proposed contract action identified above are those for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, ''Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Pole Zero is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and is the only supplier that has the requisite knowledge of AIU and Comm Tray fleet product sufficient to develop modifications and integrate improvements. The Government does not possess adequate license rights to the required technical data package necessary to support a competitive procurement to fulfill the requirements described herein.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may, however, identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action is solely at the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the publication date of this synopsis.
