NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT AND REPAIR SERVICES OF VARIOUS THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC /THERMO ELECTRON LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(a)(1)(ii): sole source (including brand name) licensing agreements.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tenant Division, 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 has a requirement to procure the following services:

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) requires full-service preventative maintenance (PM) support, unlimited on-site repairs, software upgrades, online technical support, and telephone assistance to resolve technical problems for various Thermo Electron North American laboratory instruments and associated parts. This procurement is a non-personal services contract.

The intended period of performance (POP) for the above-mentioned services is for a five (5) year ordering period.

The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 North Point Parkway, Suite 10, West Balm Beach, Florida 33407-1976. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811210 and the Business Size Standard is $34M.

All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
