Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services: Description of Services/Scope: The Contractor shall perform service and inspection to include all actuation components including remote manual pull stations, mechanical or electrical devices, detectors, actuators, etc. and shall check for proper operation. An inspection and servicing of the fire extinguishing systems by properly trained and quality person. The Contractor shall provide total system expertise for all commercial kitchen cooking equipment and remote storage area fire suppression needs every six (6) months. Each inspection and or servicing shall be completed no later than the 21st day of the fifth month. The fire suppression system experts shall bring together all the elements needed for fully integrated commercial kitchen hood ventilation and remote storage fire protection systems. Services shall comply with applicable requirements of current editions of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as they relate to inspection, testing and maintenance of installed fire suppression systems affixed for the coverage of commercial cooking equipment and remotely located hazardous storage areas. The following NFPA codes and standards shall be adhered to but not limited to their minimum requirements: NFPA 1, Fire Extinguishing System, 2021 Edition NFPA 17, Standard for Dry Chemical Extinguishing System, 2021 Edition NFPA 17A, Standard for Wet Chemical Extinguishing Systems, 2021 Edition NFPA 96, Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, 2021 Edition. Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated services are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to `Craig Brown at craig.brown7@va.gov no later than 17 July 2023, 3PM Pacific. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; capability statement and if the services are available on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract.
