Description

The Jacksonville District has a new requirement for Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Contract 11A, Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir Foundation & Cutoff Wall Project, Palm Beach County, Florida.

Preproposal Conference

Scope of Work

The Scope of Work for this project includes the following features:

Clearing, grubbing, de-mucking, blasting, foundation preparation, installation of a seepage cutoff wall, canal backfilling, and all incidental related work to prepare approximately 15.3 miles of foundation for a 17.3 miles-long embankment dam, to be constructed under separate contract within the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA). The approximate toe to toe width of the foundation is 260 feet in the north, east, and west; and 235 feet in the south. Dewatering will be required to control the groundwater and conduct work in the dry in accordance with contract specifications. All lands for this project are owned by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and provided to the USACE for construction of these project features.

Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the government utilizing best value source selection procedures. Proposals will be evaluated in the areas of Technical Merit, Past Performance, Small Business Participation, and Price.
