Description

***PLEASE USE ATTACHED PROPOSAL SPREADSHEET WHEN SUBMITTING QUOTES. ***

Remove the specified types of refrigerated appliances, from MCBH, that are listed below:
1. Small window air conditioners
2. Small refrigerators
3. Full sized refrigerators
4. Water coolers/drinking fountains
The average number of units per quarter for this contract may be up to 150 units. After the initial pick up, a mixture of the above listed items will be accumlated each quarter and arranged for pickup. Quantities may vary each quarter, but the type of appliances being removed will not deviate from the above list.
The current inventory of units that will need to be removed at the first interval is estimated at:
145 Small Window AC Units (21x20x14, and 26x29x16)
30 Small Refrigerators (5.4cu ft, and 10.3cu ft)
50 Full Sized Refrigerators
38 Water Cooler /Drinking Fountains
The pricing structure of this contract will be by item type, Window AC Units, Small Refrigerators, Full Sized refrigerators, and drinking fountains.The contract will be structured as a base year with 4 available option years. Pricing indicated on the proposal should reflect prices for each type of appliance for the base year, and pricing for the option years listed separately (Any fees associated with the pickup must be built into the price per unit). When billing quarterly in WAWF, the vendor will invoice for the amounts of items of each type picked up during the most recent collection.
The items will not be palletized or wrapped by MCBH staff. They will be placed in groups according to type/size.
Note: These White Goods contain refrigerant, safe handling of these refrigerants are tightly regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State of Hawaii, and various Federal regulation. Federal regulations state that it is illegal to vent any refrigerant into the environment during repair, service, maintenance, recycling or disposal of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Refrigerants must be recovered during all service, repair, maintenance, and disposal activities. More information is listed in section 2.2 and section 22 of this document.
