SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for sleep study services for the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106. NAICS Code 621610, size standard $19.0 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, to negotiate on a sole source basis with ITAMAR Medical (3290 Cumberland Club Drive, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30339), for this procurement because the Cleveland VAMC relies solely upon the WatchPAT Direct probes for its initial sleep studies of patients with suspected sleep apnea or related disorders. Such studies are regularly needed; Cleveland VAMC orders 50 to 60 home sleep studies per week. Without access to such studies, patient care would be significantly compromised. This presents an urgent and compelling need to quickly obtain the WatchPAT Direct supplies and services, using a contractor with the direct capability to do so. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 12:00 EST on 11/24/2023.
