AMENDED TO POST PARTIAL RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED - APPLICABLE TECHNICAL QUESTIONS RECEIVED WILL BE POSTED 8/1
AMENDED FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES: Question Period closed Thursday July 28, 2022 at 5PM. .
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), located in Alexandria, Virginia, plans to replace the existing Wifi4/5 implementation with a Wifi6/Wifi6e capable solution. The current hardware has reached its end of life and must be replaced. The new wireless network will be deployed across the USPTO Alexandria campus and to the remote sites in San Jose, California; Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; and Detroit, Michigan. The estimated square footage for current USPTO space is 2.6 million square feet with approximately 1,200 Access Points deployed. The anticipated value of this procurement is $4.8 Million.
This WiFi Upgrade will be procured using an existing contract vehicle (such as NASA SEWP, GSA, etc) depending on the results of this RFI and further market research.
The purpose of this RFI is to identify Small businesses that are deemed most likely to successfully meet the agency’s need for PEWLAN2 WiFi Upgrade. Based on market research, including the responses to this RFI, the USPTO will determine which existing contract vehicle and method will be used to continue the procurement.
