Description

The 30th Contracting Squadron is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to gather industry information with respect to 242212, Delta 8 Secure Renovation in Building 12006 at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA.  No solicitation is being issued at this time.  This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.  Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result.  The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.  Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or drawings, will be made available only on the Sam.gov website (https://sam.gov/).  Interested Parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for the release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments.  

The government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested small businesses capable of performing the type of work as described herein in order to help determine which small business set-aside to use.  The following North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applies to this request of information: 541330: Engineering Services. The size standard for this NAICS code is $25.5M.   

The purpose of the project is to produce a concept design/35% design for the secure renovation of building 12006 in multiple rooms and the test and repair of the Fire Suppression system at VSFB. See the attached Draft Statement of Work for more details. The proposed contract would be a firm-fixed-priced contract. All interested parties are invited to respond and must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (http://www.sam.gov/). 

The information requested will be used within the Space Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency.  If your firm has interest in proposing on this requirement, please prepare and email your company name, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, CAGE Code and DUNS Number, applicable NAICS codes, and Business size (i.e. Large Business, Small Business, SBA Certified 8(a) Program Participant, SBA Certified HUB Zone Firm, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business) to Jennifer Paccioretti, jennifer.paccioretti@spaceforce.mil, 30 CONS/PKA and Alyson Kolding, alyson.kolding@spaceforce.mil, no later than 29 July 2024 by 8:00 AM PDT. Please respond to the following questions within the email or using an attachment: 

  1. Have you performed work on Vandenberg Space Force Base? If so, what type of work?  
  2. Are you familiar with applicable codes and regulations?  
  3. Do your personnel possess certifications in California (either as a Prime contractor, Joint-Venture, or Subcontractor)?  
  4. Please provide a brief description of three (or fewer) projects similar in scope to the project detailed in the attached Statement of Work. Please include the project location, contract value, and completion date.
