THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO MAKE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD UNDER THE TERMS OF AN EXISTING CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST OR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under a lease in Alexandria, VA that will expire on 8/23/2024.  The contract contains various option rights to extend the term of the lease or to purchase the leased property.  Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. § 3304(a)(1), the Government intends to exercise an option to extend the lease for an additional five (5) year term.  The Government is taking this action to provide continued occupancy and to preserve its purchase option rights at the expiration of the  extension term while it further refines its continuing need for office space. No other source can meet this requirement.  This is a public posting of the Government’s intentions for informational purposes only.  There will be no solicitation for offers or request for proposals for this requirement. The Government will not pay any costs incurred as a result of responses to this advertisement. Please reference Project Numbers 8VA2726 and PVA-02-WA23 in any comment/response to this notice.
