AMENDMENT 0001:

The purpose of this amendment is to correct the closing date that was listed in the body or this RFI from April 13 to April 30th.

Issue Date:  31 March 2022 - Closing Date:  30 April 2022 – 4:00 PM EST

Per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997):

(a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

(b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" may be used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only.  It shall not be used as a proposal.

(c) This RFI is issued as part of market research for MK-82 Guided Missile Director and SPG-62 Illuminator Antenna components used in the MK-99 FCS.  This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this RFI.

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, IN, is seeking information from companies that have the capability and facilities for acquisition, manufacturing, inspection, testing, kitting, storage, management, and delivery of MK-82 Guided Missile Director and SPG-62 Illuminator Antenna components used in the MK-99 FCS.  Interested businesses with the capability and facilities to provide this type of supply, as well as the experience/expertise, should submit a capability statement of no more than three (3) 8.5” x 11” pages (font no smaller than 10 point), excluding a cover sheet, in addition to the attached Market Research Questionnaire.

Please include the purpose/explanation of the response to the RFI, i.e. to better understand the Government requirements; to potentially become a viable option for a future requirement or etc.  The Government may contact RFI respondents to obtain clarification on the information submitted.

At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts.  This RFI does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract.  The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement.  Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. This RFI is being issued solely for informational, planning, and market research purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10.
