Description
This is a SPECIAL NOTICE announcement to be used for preliminary market research purposes only. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. This is not a Solicitation, and no contract shall be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests.
The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) to compete and perform service under a contract for the attached synopsis. A Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation and firm fixed priced contract is contemplated depending upon the responses to this synopsis.
This synopsis summarizes the requirements for the contractor to provide industry perspective and technical recommendations for a prefabricated modular residential building. Because the project site is in a remote location, the intent is to gain industry perspective on potential construction challenges and to mitigate challenges prior to project implementation. By engaging in dialogue with industry, the project team wishes to bridge knowledge with vendors/ contractors to better understand construction efficiencies and cost efficiencies provided by prefabricated modular construction processes. Secondarily, this Special Notice seeks to determine vendor/ contractor parties who may be interested in submitting proposals during contract solicitation (anticipated early 2025)
Please see attached Special Notice documetnt and Questionnaire. All responses and follow on questions shall be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist, Kevin Brown at kevin.brown2@usda.gov@usda.gov. At minimum responses should include responses to the attached questions as well as a capabilities statement, and a SAM UEI (Unique Entity Identifier).
