- Request the purchase of one (1) magnetic particle inspection machine, type of a single vector wet horizontal machine. The machine will include a non-switched 6kA 28-inch coil and carriage. The magnetic particle inspection machine shall be setup and started up in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer specification and standards. The magnetic particle inspection machine shall include equipment and features specified in Section 4.0. Other requirements within the specification are training and setup, and startup, all required equipment calibration, Operating and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and shipping to Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in accordance with (IAW) the following specifications. This specification establishes the minimum requirements for the purchase of a government installed magnetic particle inspection machine at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD). The contractor shall provide all professional architectural, engineering and construction services for the preparation of all necessary drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates and related design, permits, fabrication, construction, installation, and testing services for the completion of this project. The magnetic particle inspection machine specifications are based upon commercially available products and shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements specified in section 4.0 Specifications.
