Description

THIS DESIGN BUILD PROJECT IS POSTED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE CONTRACTORS ON THE CURRENT DHS/USCG NATIONAL MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT II (NMACC II).

The US Coast Guard Facilities Design and  Construction Center (USCG FDCC) of the Department of Homeland Security proposes to contract to design-build the new and modify existing infrastructure required for site restoration and facilities at San Juan, Puerto, Rico and to Construct new Station / ANT Building and Central Utility Plant (Station / ANT and Command Center) at Base San Juan, PR to meet resiliency thresholds. The work includes but is not limited to demolition of existing buildings(s), renovation of existing buildings, site work, and construction of new buildings.

The project also includes infrastructure, utilities, distribution and resiliency for the base. A centralized electrical generation and distribution is included. The work includes but is not limited to demolition of existing system, construction of new cabling, conduits and associated transformers, fast response utility controllers, centrally located onsite energy generation and storage and all corresponding work. New system shall be capable of sustaining power for the entire site(s) in the event of outages, or severe damage to the public utility.

Rebuild and/or construction of a new water distribution system. The work includes demolition

of existing infrastructure, site work, and construction of new distribution system including new water tanks to ensure uninterrupted supply during all events.
