Description
A contractor shall provide onsite Board Certified Radiation Oncology Physician for 1.0 FTEE; a Board Certified Radiation Oncology Physician (pro re nata; PRN); a Board Certified Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP) for 0.5 FTEE; a Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist for 1.0 FTEE; a Certified Medical Dosimetrist for 1.0 FTEE; and a Certified Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist (pro re nata; PRN). Key personnel must be credentialed and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract.
The Contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform onsite Board Certified Radiation Oncology Physician, Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist, Board Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (Chief), Certified Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist, and Certified Medical Dosimetrist Support Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Baltimore VA Medical Center (VAMC), VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS). The contractor’s physician(s)’ care shall cover the range of Radiation Oncology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting (or exceeding) currently recognized national standards.
No partial fulfillment of requirement will be accepted.
All VHA Radiation Oncology Services are accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body contracted through the National Radiation Oncology Program (NROP). As such any Contractor providing on-site radiation oncology services must adhere to all the policies and procedures; practice standards, guidelines, patient care operations; patient safety; quality assurance and quality management of radiotherapy planning, equipment, and delivery; and continuous quality improvement initiatives promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Association for Physicist in Medicine.
Place of Performance: Services shall be provided onsite in Radiation Oncology Service, VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) Baltimore VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 10 N. Greene Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
