Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Medical Center located at 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357-1000 has a requirement to upgrade and replace the current HVAC building automation controls, components, and equipment. Currently, the automated HVAC system is under multiple control platforms which are outdated or impacting patient care operations with ongoing issues requiring new equipment to address facility condition assessments requiring upgrades from their current rating. The automation system upgrade will assist to upgrade all floors of the main campus addressing constant air volume, variable air volume, air handlers, exhaust fans, and standalone equipment tied to the automation network. The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and must be listed as verified in the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) database at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $45M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about July 20, 2023, via Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
