Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Grand Island VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2201 N Broadwell Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Grand Island VAMC is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision for a near-complete refresh of the data cable infrastructure. The scope of this project includes but not limited to the following infrastructure improvements: Prepare and install OIT materials in the VA campus for EHRM Upgrades. The main campus of the Grand Island VA Medical Campus will require a near-complete re-cabling of the main hospital Building 1 and all associated buildings shown in the plans. This project will include all materials and labor to replace all telecommunications cable, outlets, and associated equipment for buildings in this project at the Grand Island VA Medical Campus. Multiple buildings on campus include Buildings 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,17, and 19 as listed in the plans. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in early October of 2022. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
