Description
This action is to establish a five-year IDIQ contract consisting of five (5) one-year ordering periods for the Multi-Functional Control Display Unit (MCDU) (P/N CDMS-3829L / NSN 5895-01-699-2055UC) The estimated quantities for each order period are as follows: Ordering Period I – 52 ea.; Ordering Period II – 55 ea; Ordering Period III – 49 ea.; Ordering Period IV – 52 ea.; Ordering Period V – 52 ea.; Ship To: SW3119 / F.O.B. Origin. Award is anticipated on or before September 2023.
The MCDU acts as a slave terminal for flight management computers and other subsystems on the C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft. Up to seven subsystems can be connected simultaneously to the MCDU. The MCDU provides for aircrew data entry, avionics mode selections, and system status display. The MCDU's interface to the pilot is a pushbutton keyboard and a multifunction alphanumeric display. The MCDU incorporates built-in test for maintenance diagnostics, power up, in flight, and post flight system check.
