Source Sought Notice
The Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Division of Acquisitions is issuing a Sources Sought Notice announcement to seek potential Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) sources who would be interested in providing Upgrade Core Switch ¿ Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) Network at the Bureau of Indian Education ¿ SIPI in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This notice is to identify potential Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) sources that fall into the following available set aside category, in part as business entity that is at least fifty one percent owned by one or more American Indian or Alaska Native Individuals. The Buy Indian Act can be located at 25 U.S.C. 47. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 517919 the small business size standard $35.00.
No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with this Source sought announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. It is requested that only those that meet the definition of these categories submit a response to this notice. Send your capabilities statement to include your UEI #, description of your specialties, contact information (business name, contact person, phone number and email address), bonding capabilities.
The contract scope of work consists of the following discipline of SIPI IT will work first stage hardware installation preparations and installation process by first gathering Core switch information from existing Catalyst 6509 v12.1 IOS software information inventory configuration check list from both Core(s) in the Business building and Science and Technology Building 2nd floor LAN room. Both these core switches are running old Catalyst 6509 software IOS and need to upgrade to today¿s current technology running a minimal 15.9 IOS version. The current Catalyst 6509 are both (end of hardware life) support by manufacture and needs to be replaced quickly in order for the SIPI campus to maintain internet and network access. If the either main core switch dies, all the data, VOIP, fiber and internet access will be inaccessible. This network connectivity downtime could be detrimental to the SIPI¿s mission to support the campus during business hours. The contractor shall provide hardware refresh experience and expertise on the migration/replacement of the Catalyst 6509 IOS configuration to the new Layer 3 Catalyst Nexus IOS series the tasks require for the pre-installed upgrade(s)
Interest parties are requested to provide their UEI number for verification of inclusion in the System for Award Management (SAM). Any interest and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief capabilities statement and letter of interest to Mary Jane Johnson vie email maryjane.johnson@bie.edu.
