The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to make concrete repairs to multiple joints of the monolith lock wall on Lock & Dam No. 2, Hastings, Minnesota. Water seepage into the joints has become a problem. The contractor will vertically drill 4 inch wide holes in the monolith joints as prescribed, use expansive rope/grout sock to prevent material washouts, and pressure inject polyurethane resin to seal joints and prevent water seepage.
The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
This project will be solicited as 100% set-aside for Small Business, under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238190, Other Foundation, Structure and Building Exterior Contractors. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this NAICS is $19,000,000.
In order for a contractor to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the firm must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be fully registered in SAM prior to receiving an award, to include a current FAR & DFARS Representations & Certifications Report. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov. Initial SAM registration requires verification of records with multiple Federal agencies, a process that can take several weeks or longer.
