Description

This public notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The solicitation is being released as a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract competition. 

This requirement is to produce print Braille books, a combination of printed text and braille texts compiled into one book for the Library’s National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS). This procurement shall be specifically for the genre of children’s literature and include fiction and non-fiction literary works. Some works may include graphics and graphic descriptions. The inclusion of both print and Braille allow for those who are sighted and print-disabled to enjoy the reading experience together, supporting the Library’s mission to allow all to access its collections. All work must follow current NLS specifications and Braille code per Attachment J1 and the NLS website.
