PURPOSE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation to furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform all work for renting, erecting and dismantling Scaffolding System Stair Towers and pick boards with handrails and toe boards on two separate dates for Wilson Lock in Florence, AL. The stair towers will be approximately 30 feet in height. Towers will be built in a dewatered upper miter gate and at the caisson in navigation chamber or lock. Scaffolding will be anchored into concrete walls or floors with masonry anchors. All scaffolding systems shall be built and placed under the direction of the Technical Representative. USACE will provide crane, crane operator and qualified rigging personnel to stage equipment.

This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The scope of work for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance.

NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 532490 with a size standard of $35 million.

TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business.

SOLICITATION AND CONTRACT TYPE: The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price service contract.

SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is January 31, 2022.

SITE VISIT: The anticipated date for a site visit is February 10, 2022.
