Description

The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO), intends to issue a contract on a sole source basis to Raytheon Technologies, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT in support of F135 engine enhancement. The anticipated contract will provide for concept optimization, preliminary design activities, risk reduction efforts, propulsion system program management, and assessment and evaluation of the F-35 Air System relating to the propulsion system support.  The requirement will procure early developmental engine components, long lead enhanced engine components, special tooling and special test equipment, infrastructure support for upgrade of hardware benches, technical engineering support integration and support of the F-35 C2D2 Block IV upgrades. The contract is anticipated by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 and supports the F-35 JPO, U.S. Services, Cooperative Program Partners, and Foreign Military Sales Customers. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement action on a sole source basis.
