PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE MOLECULAR DEVICES

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Office of Research and Development (R&D), Regional Procurement Office (RPO) – East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Modular Devices. 

The requirement is for the procurement of preventative maintenance for the  Houston VAMC. 

The requirement is for the contractor to provide preventative maintenance to the Houston VAMC.

This procurement shall be inclusive of shipping and handling charges (FBO Destination).  

This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.  This is because the Government asserts that Modular Devices, is the only contractor that can provide this specific research needed by the R&D Laboratory at Houston VA. Specifically, the characteristics of the Modular Devices that are unique are as follows: 

1.    Modular Devices is the manufacture and provider of the maintenance services for the SpectraMax ABS Plus system which is on-hand at the station.  

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the Contracting Officer no later than Tuesday, 05/31/2022, (3:00 PM, CST). A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
