Salt Lake District Office Renovation – Phase II
Unita Wasatch Cache National Forest
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Salt Lake District Office Improvements – Phase 2 project for the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This project will consist of remodeling two existing facilities for the Salt Lake Ranger District Office.
Construction includes, but is not limited to, demolition of east entrance stairs of the north building including roof, concrete and steel stairs, doors, brick veneer, lights, mailboxes, railings, landscaping, sidewalks and sod. Excavate and construct new east entry addition including concrete footings, foundations, slabs, helical piers, framing, wood accent entrance, furring, sheathing, roofing, windows, doors, hardware, face brick, composite siding, flashing, insulation, gypsum board, painting, wood stairs, railings, doors, hardware, knoxbox, ceramic tile, grilles, tongue and groove ceiling, hydraulic elevator, sump pump oil detector, ductwork, electrical service, security, fire alarm, lighting and communications. Backfill and regrade at the addition. Demolish existing finishes, walls, doors, hardware, concrete slab, cabinetry, stairs, ceilings, plumbing, HVAC equipment, ductwork, lights, electrical and communication improvements. Provide and install new wood framing, wood stairs, railings, gypsum board, ceramic tile, vinyl tile, base, carpet, casework, insulation, doors, frames, hardware, interior windows, painting, staining, finish carpentry, cabinetry, ceilings, TPO, insulation, roofing, toilets, sinks, plumbing, drinking fountains, heating and cooling equipment, fans, ductwork, registers, lights, sensors, power and communications.
Project Location
The “North Building” is located at 6914 S 3000 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. The “South Building” is located at 6944 S 3000 E, Salt Lake City, UT 841221. The site is located in Salt Lake County. The site is also located within the area known as “Cottonwood Heights”
Contract Time:
The work will be phased to complete the North Building, described in Specification Section 000501, before completing the South Building, described in Specification Section 000502. The site repair work and landscaping for the entire campus must be completed in a manner that allows the District to continue operations at the site. The work shall be complete within 18 months of the notice to proceed.
The magnitude of proposed project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
Project drawings will be provided as attachments to the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or within 15 days of this notice. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from SAM.gov. Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to update files.
This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract. A single award will be made from the solicitation.
All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http:www.sam/gov/ before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for the award and removed from consideration.
