Description
The Trustees of Princeton University, a U.S. Department of Energy Prime Contractor, represented by Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), is a research facility located in Princeton, NJ. PPPL focuses on the advancement of science and engineering enabling a world powered by safe, clean, and plentiful fusion energy while leading discoveries in plasma science technology.
A vital element in fulfilling the role and mission of the laboratory, is the Laboratory’s Engineering Directorate for providing multidisciplinary engineering expertise to all projects across the PPPL portfolio. The Directorate comprises multiple engineering capabilities including: Mechanical Engineering, Analysis, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering/Computer Science, Systems Engineering, and Program Management. The Engineering Directorate provides end-to-end fusion mission engineering support that is instrumental in designing and building systems and subsystems and distributing solutions over the world-wide fusion science community. To fulfill these responsibilities and ultimately achieve missions, the Engineering Directorate seeks to acquire multidisciplinary engineering services in support of its divisions to implement the mission.
This Request for Proposal is to obtain services from an engineering firm to provide multidisciplinary engineering support services to PPPL. Requirements include, but are not limited to, the management, design, engineering, and analysis to enable science mission accomplishment.
