Description
The United States (U.S) Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems, intends to issue and negotiate a non-competitive, sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) to General Dynamics - Ordnance & Tactical Systems (GD-OTS)-St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL) for the 155mm XM1210 High Explosive (HE) Rocket Assisted Projectile (RAP) and Variants.
This is a follow on action to a Prototype Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) under DoD Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC). This production contract will support the transition from prototyping to the XM1210 HE RAP production. The XM1210 is a 155mm, rocket assisted, high explosive, cannon artillery projectile with a steel shell body(s) enclosing a warhead and a Solid Rocket Motor (SRM).
The RFP will be issued under the authority Title 10 U.S. Code (U.S.C.) Section 3204(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The anticipated contract will be a hybrid Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) and Fixed-Price Incentive Firm Target (FPIF) base contract with two (2) option years.
Please note this notice does not constitute a RFP. The anticipated award is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023, Quarter 4 (FYQ4). It is expected that the solicitation will be posted in September/October 2022.
