AMENDMENT 0002: The purpose of this amendment is to:

a. Provide the 100% Technical Plans and Specifications and Summary of Changes;
b. Add DFARS Clauses 252.204-7012 & 252.204-7020, as w ell as DFARS Provisions 252.204-7008 & 252.204-7019;
c. Update DFARS Clause 252.236-7001, Contract Draw ings and Specifications, FAR Clause 52.211-12, Liquidated Damages - Construction, and FAR Provision 52.252-3, Alterations in Solicitation.

d. Update FAR Provision 52.252-3, Alterations in Solicitation.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), W912P521R0007, for a single firm fixed-price Construction Contract. The scope of this requirement includes the replacement of ten (10) spillway tainter gates and eleven (11) gate lifting machinery setups including, but not limited to, wire rope and drum setup, high and low-speed gear boxes, 10 hp electric motor, bull and pinion gears, and machinery base on each gate pier for the Wolf Creek Dam located on the Cumberland River near Jamestown, Kentucky in Russell County. The Wolf Creek Dam Spillway Gates and Machinery Replacement Contract will restore the dam to its full functionality as it was intended once built.

The major features of this Contract include fabrication and installation of the new gates and lifting machinery equipment that is required to operate the gates. To accomplish these major features, the scope will include the following items:

1) Fabricate ten (10) new spillway tainter gates;
2) Remove and dispose of the existing spillway tainter gates, existing lifting equipment, and lifting equipment machinery base;
3) Work platform to install the new spillway tainter gates;
4) Install the spillway tainter gates and gate lifting machinery equipment, electrical features, and install new lifting gate machinery base;
5) Modify bridge to access the lifting machinery equipment for replacement;
6) Work from bridge is limited to one (1) lane closure with a few short term “hourly” road closures for special lifts; and 
7) Installation of trunnion ladders.

DISCLOSURE OF MAGNITUDE OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: The estimated price range is between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000.

NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction; $39,500,000

TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: None (Full and Open/Unrestricted)
