Description

Whiteman AFB 509 Contracting Squadron intends to award a single source contract for B2 Model Building and Learning. CAGE code: 9RMA1. The NAICS code is 611710 and the size standard is $24 Million Dollars.
The contractor will be hosting a workshop wherein the facilitators build and launch a model B2 Spirit bomber and teach the children in attendance how to build and fly their own. Requirements will be provided by the contracted facilitators which will consist of the production of 1, 8 ft B2 model, and 100, 10-18 in. models to be supplied to participating families. This will include the balsa wood, model airplane foam and cardboard required for the construction thereof. The contractor will be expected to clean up any debris left after the event. The company is the only one that offers to lead workshops and will, upon approval, guide Whiteman families in constructing the very first RC B2 Spirit Bomber and then teach families to make smaller versions of the same. No other vendors were found that offered this same product and service. Award will be made on or before 7 May 2024. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to provide the part required. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice if they are to be considered for this award. However, if capability statement is received at any time it will be considered for the next similar or same requirement. Additional consideration shall be given to any business who can demonstrate their ability to provide a competitive offer. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
