Notice of Intent to Award to a Sole Source for Solid Waste Removal Services for the Yakama Service Unit

The Yakama Service Unit, Indian Health Service, Toppenish, Washington intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract for solid waste removal services to the Yakima Waste Systems, Inc. 

This acquisitions is conducted pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items (41 U.S.C. 3305, 3306, and Chapter 37); FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commerical Items (41 U.S.C. 1906, 1907, and 3307), and FAR Part 37.101 - Non-Personal Services Contract.

The Contractor, Yakima Waste Systems, Inc. is the sole company uniquely authorized to provide the needed solid waste remova services in the local area to ensure continuation of services that could impact direct patient care services. 

This is no a request for competitive proposals; it is primarily a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. There will be no request for competitive quotes available. Any submissions to this notice must provide compelling evidence that the competition would be advantageous to the Government. The contract will be granted without further notice if no affirmative written response is received no later than 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on June 6, 2022.

The Government hasw sole discretion in determining whether or not to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice. The information you provide will be used solely to determine whether or not a competitive procurement will be conduted in the future. All vendors have been notified that if their responses are not received by the datea and time specified in this notice, they will not be considered.

The North American Indsutrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562111, Solid Waste Collection - Small Business Standard is $41.5 million dollars.
