RFQ 15B61824Q00000001 - FRESH BAKERY/ PRODUCE

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance
with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation 15B61825Q00000001 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-06.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this
requirement is 311812. All responsible businesses may submit a quote which may be
considered.
This requirement is for various fresh bakery products delivered on a weekly delivery
schedule to the United States Penitentiary Atwater during the fiscal year 2025 (October
1, 2024 – September 30, 2025). The basis for award will be best value to the
Government. Quotes will be evaluated considering past performance, price and
technical specifications. Responsible offerers shall incorporate shipping costs and any
other internal processing costs into their bid price. Order will be awarded on a firmfixed
price purchase order.

Bidders are advised to include a completed copy of the attached provision at 52.212-3
with their offers if they do not have completed.
Quantities are estimated for the year and are based upon population rates which vary
week to week. See attached delivery date schedule for this solicitation. The bakery
products quantities are subject to change week to week. Bakery product quantities
requests will be sent out every Tuesday prior to the scheduled delivery for the
following week which is every Thursday (See Delivery Calendar) by the Food Service
Department manager or designee via e-mail to an e-mail address provided by the
vendor at time of award.
Failure to comply with the stated item specifications on the bid sheet could result in
your quoted item not being considered for award or your item being refused upon
delivery. No specification substitutions will be accepted. Do not bid an alternate item
or alternate packaging.
Bids are due by email to dxkelly@bop.gov no later than Monday, September 09, 2024 at
12:00 p.m. PST.
Weekly Thursday delivery to 1 Federal Way, Atwater, CA 95301 will be required for the
period of October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. The first delivery for this
solicitation will begin on Thursday October 3, 2024.
