Lucid Vision Brand Cameras

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center-Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL), Robotics for Engineer Operations (REO) program has a requirement for forty (40) high-quality RGB (Red-Green-Blue color), brand name, Lucid Vision Labs cameras, along with associated accessories including memory cards, cables, and adapters.  ERDC-CERL intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Graftek Imaging Inc in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

Graftek Imaging Inc is the only source capable of fulfilling the government requirement for the Triton 2.8 MP RGB camera from Lucid Vision Labs for navigation, localization, and 3D site mapping. This brand of camera has been tested and deployed before, and has been found to work extremely well for the environments we put it in. It can connect to our ROS (Robotics Operating System) based software because it includes the necessary drivers required to communicate with ROS, which frees us from spending time and labor hours on developing our own software drivers. This brand also possesses the following specific capabilities:

• Power over ethernet (POE)

• ROS driver

• ~ 2.5inches x 2.5inches

• ~3 MP

• ~40 FP

All the cameras need to the be same make and model because they are being fused into one 3D model (one image).  Because of these reasons Graftek Imaging Inc is the sole source for this procurement.

This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract.

This is not a small business set aside. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Government’s acquisition strategy.

Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offerors list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
