Description

The Public Health Advisor primary focus is to serve as an advisor to the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia (E&E) on policy, programs, and issues pertaining to health systems, COVID-19, tuberculosis (TB), Immunization, and/or other health challenges faced in the E&E region. The Advisor is part of the Health Team that sits in the Technical Support Office (TSO) and reports to the Senior Health Advisor. The Regional Health Advisor is a source of technical advice to the Bureau and its field missions on health strategies and programs and is responsible for managing region-wide health programs in accordance with Bureau, Agency and State Department priorities and objectives. S/he represents the Bureau within the U.S. Government, as well as with external stakeholders, and provides public health expert advice and guidance, particularly on issues related to the impacts of the Russian re-invasion of Ukraine and recovery and reconstruction assistance.
