SPIRE MISSOURI INC. GAS LINE RELOCATION

USACE St Louis District intends to sole source the following action, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.

Relocate a 16 in. diameter SF natural gas line main from the North side of McDonnell Blvd. to the South side of McDonnell Blvd. Remediation will be performed at the McDonnell Bridge over Coldwater Creek and at McDonnell Blvd. from the east end parking lot entrance of the Guest, Keen & Nettlefolds  (GKN) Aerospace North America Inc. to the intersection of Eva Road and McDonnell Blvd.  The St. Louis County, Missouri, agreed to provide a road closure to facilitate the remediation effort at and around the bridge over Coldwater Creek and along this alignment of McDonnell Blvd. This natural gas line is owned and controlled by SPIRE Missouri, Inc.

A more concise description on the relocation of the 16-inch diameter steel main will be as follows:

Install 4,410 linear feet of 16 in. Steel  (ST) SF Main on the South side of James S. McDonnell Blvd. 

Install 110 linear feet of 8 in. ST SF Main and Install 180 linear feet of 2 in. ST SF Main

along the south side of James S. McDonnell Blvd.  Abandon 3,910 linear feet of 16 in. ST SF Main

and 95 linear feet of 8 in. ST SF Main along the north side of James S. McDonnell Blvd.

SPIRE Missouri Inc. has indicated that it will require a seven-month duration. It includes but is not limited to procurement of material, site preparation, field work, installation, and abandonment of pipe.
