Description

Amendment 0001:

The purpose of this Amendment is to provide answers to questions and extend the due date for quotes to 23 January 2024 at 11:00am est.

Question 1:

Is it possible for you to provide the spindle cross section drawing and the corresponding parts listing from the machine manual?

Government Response:

The spindle cross section drawing cannot be provided.

Question 2:

Which spindle needs rebuilding? The machine has two, a main spindle and a sub spindle.

The main spindle.

MCI-East Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office aboard MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for “Lathe Spindle Rebuild & Installation”.

It is the Government's intention to issue a firm-fixed price requirements type contract.  The proposed acquisition is  100% set aside for Women Owned Small Business concerns.  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811310. The Government will solicit and award this contract using simplified acquisition procedures. 

The solicitation, (No. M6700124Q1016) will be posted and made available on SAM.gov.  It is the responsibility of the quoter to continually view the website for the solicitation and any amendments.  Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered with the SAM website accessed through https://sam.gov.  Contractor must also ensure annual representations and certifications are current or complete them at the SAM website as well.  All prospective offerors interested in submitting a quote must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code).  Contractors must be registered with Wide Area Workflow at https://piee.eb.mil in order to invoice the Government and accept payment.

All questions relating to this requirement must be addressed to the Contracting Department, Purchasing Agent via email to ann.sanford@usmc.mil by 1:00 P.M. (EDT) 08 January 2024, which will be answered by the posting of an amendment.  Any questions received after the stated deadline will not be addressed.

All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation and will be considered.
