Description

THIS IS A PRESOLICIATION NOTICE The Central Texas VA Health Care System currently has a requirement to repair it s existing chiller water storage tank. An Invitation for Bids will be posted on or around 13 Jan 2023 36C2723B0021 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to Repair and Replace damaged and failing elements of the Chilled Water Storage Tank otherwise known as a Thermal Energy Storage Tank (TES) resulting in significantly reduced efficiency. The Storage tank provides additional cooling capacity during extreme heat conditions and is used as a cost savings tool. The Storage Tank was designed and constructed in 1996 by DN Tanks, Inc with their proprietary technology to store Cold water during nights and to augment cooling during the high daytime temperatures at the North Texas Veterans Health Care Facility, Dallas Medical Center, located at 4500 South Lancaster Rd, Dallas Texas. 75216. The total storage capacity of the tank is 3,300,000 (3.3 million) Gallons and the tanks physical dimensions are 98ft in diameter by 58ft in height. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a small business size standard of $19 M. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, as stated below. Important Notice: Apparent successful bid must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises prior to submission of offer. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz prior to submission of offer will result in the offeror s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
