Description
The Lancaster USARC is located at 1135 Ranck Mill RD, Lancaster, PA 17602 and consists of two buildings which are the USARC Training Building and the Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS). Work under this contract shall occur at the Training Building. Design and construct a HVAC system, associated power distribution circuits, and suspended ceiling systems at the Training
Building. Remove the portions indicated of the existing HVAC system, associated power distribution circuits, and the suspended ceiling system. Provide temporary heating and cooling when one, both, or the other are unavailable due to construction activities.
Complete an energy model, based on the final design, to report energy reductions in accordance with the applicable criteria. Proposals that offer betterments that impact energy efficiency must be supported by a life-cycle cost analysis.
Design and construction includes, but is not limited to, the following equipment: split Direct Expansion (DX) variable air volume air handling units; condensing units; piping; ductwork; insulation; Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes; hydronic terminal units; Direct Digital Control (DDC) system; conduit; conductors; overcurrent protection; safety disconnect switches; acoustical ceiling tiles; and suspended ceiling grid system. See Parts 4, 5, and 6 for technical requirements.
See Appendix D for as-built drawings and Appendix E for site photographs. These are provided for information only and shall be field verified after award. As-builts are available upon request after award in Adobe PDF format. Provide as-built drawings in accordance with Section 01 78 00.
See Appendix C for demolition and new work drawings (which include a suggested zoning plan). Appendix F provides a control system design guide which shall be followed to complete the design.
