Description

SPECIAL NOTICE: INTENT TO AWARD FY23: HYBRID-OR EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SERVICE SPECIAL NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center (JAHVAMC), 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida, intends to award a repair and preventative maintenance contract with PHILIPS NORTH AMERICA, LLC., authorized service provider for the Phillips Allura XPER FD20 X-ray Hybrid-OR Equipment. Period of performance is 08/27/2023-08/26/2028. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, tools, and parts necessary to provide a full-service maintenance contract including preventive maintenance, certification, repair, and replacement tubes (glassware) of the X-ray equipment. This highly specialized medical equipment located in the Operating Room must be properly maintained in order to assure proper function and reduce equipment down-time. The listed equipment is one-of-a-kind and requires specialized equipment and training to perform maintenance. This equipment is used daily at the hospital for critical vascular surgeries. If this service is interrupted, surgeries and procedures can be canceled or delayed, which will result in lost time, money, unnecessary patient travel, and patient dissatisfaction. If the equipment malfunctions the situation could potentially create improper diagnoses of patient which could lead to negative outcomes for our patients health. The contractor shall perform PM service to ensure that equipment listed below functions in conformance with the latest published editions of NFPA-99, OSHA, CDRH, CAP. The Contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer (Philips) that they are authorized as service providers of the listed equipment and can obtain Philips OEM parts. NAICS: This requirement will be classified under NAICS code 811210 with a size standard of $34.0M. No solicitation document is available.
