Description
NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SINGLE SOURCE AWARD -
The USDA Forest Service intends to solicit a quotation on a single source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) from AMCI Wireless for Loggers Lake and Fourche Dams Early Warning System Cable Extension Alterations.
SCOPE OF WORK
A. Products:
1. The Work consists of the following:
a. Modifying the existing Early Warning Systems (EWS) located at Loggers Lake and Fourche Lake. The existing sensors are not long enough to account for seasonal drawdown in the winter. Once the lakes are drawn down the sensors are left exposed with potential for freeze and damage to the sensor. Longer cable line needs to be installed to prevent this in the future.
b. Work includes the installation of longer sensor cable lines. Loggers Lake needs a total of 110-ft from the base of the EWS pole to the sensor and Fourche needs a total of 170-ft.
c. Includes purchase of supplies, shipping, travel costs, and field labor.
B. Product Delivery, Storage, and Handling:
1. Packing and Shipping:
a. All components of the system shall be delivered to the site in the Manufacturer's packaging, clearly identified with the product type.
2. Storage and Protection:
a. The Contractor shall provide a dry storage area for all components. The storage shall be in accordance with the Manufacturer's recommendations.
