This was awarded by Sole Source to Orion Systems Inc as the current system is proprietary and cannot be modified or upgraded by third party vendors. The current communication system that the 53 WEG utilizes is highly specialized and designed and built by Orion Systems, Inc. The proposed hardware upgrades were specifically designed and configured by Orion Systems, Inc and they are the only vendor authorized to modify and upgrade the current system.
