NOTICE TYPE: Sources Sought
TITLE: Multiple FSCs Supporting the TF33 Engine
DISCLAIMER: THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT
ON THE BASIS OF THIS POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT (PSS) OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED.
Purpose: This agency proposes to issue a Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to determine if other companies are capable of providing any items that have been determined to be sole source to Pratt Whitney. An additional 8 NSNs will be added to the other population of NIINS to this acquisition. The two elements anticipated as part of this requirement are as follows:
• 1. An additional population of DLR items identified as sole source with an AMC of 3/4/5 may be targeted for Rapid Delivery Release (RDR). This population is added to the previous items identified.
• 2. An additional population of Consumable items, in addition to the previous items, identified as sole source with an AMC of 3/4/5 may be targeted for addition to Pratt and Whitney's long term contract SPE4AX-16-D-9436 (formerly known as SPE4AX-13-D-9424) via modification, using the RDR contract vehicles.
Objective: The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to support the objectives by responding to this notice.
The proposed sole source RDR solicitation will be issued to RTX, Pratt & Whitney, CAGEs 52661/77445. All responses received by the notice response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment by the Government.
